In collaboration with art historian Hannah Kagan-Moore, I wrote theme music for and edited episodes of "Just Art History", a short podcast series about the intersection of social justice, art history, and our modern concepts of the pre-modern era.

Hieronymus Bosch, The Garden of Earthly Delights
Butt Music From Hell
The Garden of Earthly Delights, a large triptych painted by Hieronymus Bosch circa 1500, depicts scenes of the idyllic Garden of Eden, crowds partaking in pleasurable activities, and a contrasting hellscape of sinners meeting their punishments. Within the hellscape, a naked person's rear end can be seen sticking out from underneath a large lute, inscribed with musical notation. This piece has become known fondly as the "Butt Music from Hell".
